Mrs. Lena Heabner, 83, of Wilton, died Friday in the home of her niece, Mrs. Anna Hahn, Wilton, following an extended illness.

She was born in Muscatine April 15, 1865, the daughter of Adolph and Verena Friedli Rexroth, and spent all her life in Muscatine county. She married George Heabner Nov. 26, 1885, in Wilton. The couple operated a grocery store here for many years.

Mrs. Heabner was a member of the Wilton Presbyterian church and Purity chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are two sons, Raymond of California and Harold of Dike, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Davis of Marengo, and Mrs. Rica Howe of Tipton; a brother, Henry Rexroth of Fremont, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Marry Hoppe of Fremont and Mrs. Henry Hink of Long Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The body was taken to the Griffith funeral home and removed to the Presbyterian church at noon, Sunday for funeral services at 2 p.m. The Order of Eastern Star participated in the service and burial in Oakdale cemetery.
