Conesville — Mrs. Minnie Maxwell, 76, lifelong resident of the community, died at her home at ?:30 p. m. Thursday after an illness of 10 weeks with complications.
The daughter of John and Rosanna Snyder, she was born in Seventy-Six township, near Muscatine, on March 9, 1868. She was member of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed church and the Royal Neighbor lodge of Conesville. Her husband died in 1917 and her parents, two sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Roy L. Maxwell, of Muscatine ; two daughters, Mrs. George Dyche, of Conesville, and Miss Lorena Maxwell, at home; a brother, Elbert Snyder. of Conesville; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Maxwell and Mrs. Jennie Maxwell, of Conesville, Mrs. Josie Bowlby, of West Liberty, and Mrs. Allie Cecil, of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The body is at the home and will remain there until services are held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Grace Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. E. Jassman, of Oskaloosa, will be in charge and burial will be in the Conesville cemetery, in charge of the Richie Funeral home.
