Mrs. Ramer of Conesville Dies; Rites Indefinite

Conesville — Mrs. Chet Ramer, who recently returned home from the University hospital at Iowa City, died at her home here at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
The former Ruth Mabel DeLap, she was born Oct. 10, 1895, at Lowell, IA., and was married to Chester Lee Ramer, at Columbus Junction on Aug. 10, 1915.
Surviving are her husband and the following children, Pvt. Donald Leo Ramer, of Camp McCoy, Wis., Cpl, Robert Cecil Ramer, who is en route home from England; Mrs. Harrison Bennett, of Conesville; Sgt. Lysle Keith Ramer, of DeRidder, La., Mrs. Jean Yedlik, of Nichols; S 2/c Chester Lee Ramer serving in the Pacific theater of operation, and Max and Alice Ramer, at home. Also surviving are her father, Jesse DeLap, Sr., of Muscatine; a brother, Jesse DeLap, Jr., of Muscatine and the following sisters, Mrs. Paul Buser, of Conesville, Mrs. Viola King, Mrs. Dorothy Edwards and Mrs. Aleen Smith, all of Muscatine, and two grandchildren.
The funeral plans are indefinite pending word from the son, Cpl. Robert Ramer. The Kirchner Funeral home at Nichols is in charge of arrangements.

Final Rites for Mrs. Chet Ramer, Conesville, Held

Conesville — Funeral rites for Mrs. Chet Ramer were conducted Monday afternoon from the Methodist church by the Rev. Horace Ireland. The service was private.
Mrs. Roy Jean, accompanied by Mrs. Kelly McKee offered two solos.
Casket bearers were Ranson Forbes, Guy Forbes, Alfred Forbes, Wayne Singleton, Harold Hankins and Isaac Abbott.
Flower attendants were Mrs. Harold Hankins, Mrs. Wayne Singleton, Mrs. Isaac Abbott, Mrs. Norval Hill and Mrs. Clarence Forbes. Burial was in the Conesville cemetery.
