Mrs. Carl Lawer Rites Held Monday, Wilton

Wilton Junction - Funeral services for Mrs. Carl N. Lawer, native and life resident of this vicinity, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Griffith funeral home with the Rev. Lloyd Bear of the Rochester Methodist church officiating. Burial in the Oakdale cemetery. Mrs. Lawer, 59, ended her life by hanging in her home near Atalissa Friday morning. She was formerly Vera Smith and was born Jan. 18, 1893. Her marriage to Mr. Lawer took place Feb. 16, 1921, in Wilton Junction.

Survivors: the widower; brothers Ross Smith of San Diego, Calif., and David B. Smith of Wilton; and sisters, Mrs. Roy Giles and Mrs. Clara Ellis, both of Wilton Junction.
