Isaac Longstreth, 86, lifelong resident of Muscatine county, died at his home in Sweetland township at 1:15 p.m. Sunday after a four years illness with a heat ailment.
He was born in Muscatine county on Jan. 4, 1856 and married Mary E. Van Camp in Sweetland township on Sept. 15, 1878. He was a member of the Sweetland Methodist church.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Longstreth of Moscow township and Elra Longstreth of Sweetland township, and a daughter, Mrs. Kate Key, of Lawrence, Kas., and nine grandchildren. His wife's death occurred on July 9, I938.
The body is at the Hoffman Funeral Home but will be taken to the Longstreth residence at 4 p. m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at the Sweetland Methodist church at 2 p .m, Wednesday, in charge of the Rev. C. B. Rayhill, pastor. Burial will be in the Harker cemetery.
