Lloyd L. Baumgardner, 88, of 1317 4th Ave., Rock Island, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony’s hospital, Rock Island, IL.

Mr. Baumgardner was born Dec. 27, 1874, in Muscatine, the son of Marion and Martha Sailer Baumgardner, and was reared here.

He was married in October 1896 to Bertha Mae Montonye at Peoria, Ill. They farmed in Illinois and in Michigan. Mr. Baumgardner had been a resident of Rock Island for the past two and one-half years.

Survivors include three sons, Bernard and Everett, both San Diego, and Clifford, address unknown; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Findley and Mrs. Harlow M. Clark of Rock Island; a brother, George and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Hoefin, both of Muscatine; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Knox-Larson funeral home at Rock Island with Rev. Walter G. Battey in charge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. The casket will be opened for viewing at the cemetery.
