West Liberty, May 24, Edward Elliott, a prominent West Liberty resident passed away at the Hershey hospital in Muscatine last evening. His death followed an illness of about six weeks, and was caused by heart trouble and dropsy. He had been confined at the hospital for several weeks.
Edward Elliott was born in Morgan county, Ohio, in March, 1831, and when a young man came to this city where he has resided since that time. He leaves to mourn his loss two children, judge Charles Elliott of Minneapolis and Lieutenant Colonel Clarkson Elliott, somewhere in France. One sister, Mrs. Amelia Polling also survives.
The body was brought to West Liberty last evening, but no definite funeral plans have as yet been arranged.
