DIED. – Oct. 18th, 1884, at his residence in 76 township, Robert Daplin. Funeral services at 2 p.m., 19th inst., by Rev. J. L. King. Interment at the A. J. Westbrook cemetery. Deceased was born at Swanton, Novers, Norfolk county, England, Dec. 11th, (not sure if it should be 11 or 16, hard to read) 1815, emigrated to America in 1835, has been a resident of 76 township 18 and of Muscatine county 40 years. He was a member of the M. E. church, exhibiting a patient-forgiving character. Peace to his memory.
