Mrs. McClun, 80, Of West Liberty, Dies At Hospital

West Liberty – Mrs. Harriet McClun, 80, died at 1:30 a.m. today in Mercy hospital, Iowa City, of a heart attack. She had been a patient at the hospital since April 1st.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Chesebro, she was born in Glen Falls, N. Y., and came to Iowa when a girl, residing in West Liberty for many years. She was married to Charles McClun, who died about 20 years ago. Following her husband’s death, she moved to Pasadena to make her home with her son, Edwin and family. She returned to West Liberty in December 1941, and resided here at the W. A. Warren home.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Phyllis McClun, and grandson, Robert McClun, of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Maxson of Pasadena, Calif,; and brother, Dr. Samuel G. Chesebro , of Muscatine. Her husband and son preceded her in death.
The body is at the S. C. Snider funeral home where rites will be held Wednesday morning, and the body taken to Long Beach, Calif., for burial.
