JOHN H. CURTIS

Lone Tree - John H. Curtis, 78, a retired farmer, died early today, at the home of a son, Lloyd, near Lone Tree.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sorden.and Adams chapel, Lone Tree with the Rev. Harry Lake.minister of the United Church of Christ, officiating.Burial will be in Lone Tree cemetery.

Mr. Curtis was born Dec. 26, 1881, in Johnson county, where he resided all his life. He was the son of John and Elizabeth Leonard Curtis.

Surviving are the son, Lloyd; a daughter, Gladys Curtis, Lone Tree; two grandchildren; brother, William .and a sister Mrs. Emma Southwell, both of Davenport.

His parents, a brother and a sister are dead.
