DIED.

At the family residence, No. 802 East Ninth street at 3:45 a.m., Monday January 13, 1890, Mrs. Ida, wife of Christian Sander.
The deceased was born in Neustadt Holstein, Germany, March 14, 1839, and came to America in 1857, locating in Davenport. In 1859 she was married to Christian Sander in Sweetland township, this county, at which place she lived until a few years ago, when the said couple retired from the farm and moved to the city. She had been ailing for some time with a complication of diseases, and yesterday morning was seized with a sort of hemorrhage of the stomach or lungs. She was a faithful wife and mother and her death will be mourned, not only by her husband and six children, who survive her, but by a host of friends. Since 1858 she had been a faithful and consistent member of the German Baptist church, from which place of worship she will also be missed. All the children, four sons and two daughters, reside here, save two of the youngest boys, who are now sojourning in California.
The funeral is appointed for Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the German Baptist church, services conducted by Rev C.L. Marquardt.
