Durant, Iowa – Services for L. Ray Young, 51, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Wilton Methodist Church. Burial will be in West Branch Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. today, with Masonic services conducted at 8 p.m. at Lacock Funeral Home, Wilton. Visitation also is noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

He died Monday at Mercy Hospital, Davenport. He was vice president at New Liberty office of Liberty Trust and Savings Bank. Before that, he was vice president at Wilton Savings Bank. Mr. Young married Shirley Romaine in 1960 in West Liberty. He was an Army veteran. He was a graduate of Graduate School of Banking, Madison, Wis. He was a member of West Branch Masonic Lodge and past president of the Muscatine County Bankers Association. He was a former treasurer of Wilton school board. He enjoyed golf and woodworking and was an Iowa Hawkeye fan. A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Julie (Mrs. Richard) Jackson, Phoenix, and Kris (Mrs. Don) Bohnsack, Wilton; a son, Richard, Papillion, Neb.; two grandsons; sisters, Leona Fries, Marion, and Laura O’Connell, Cedar Rapids; and brothers, Francis, Coralville, and Donald, Tipton.
