Helen M. Enderle, 81, of West Liberty, died Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.

Funeral mass was held Saturday, November 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty, with Reverend Dennis Martin officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, West Liberty. Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty was in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.

She was born January 16, 1922, in West Union, the daughter of Frank C. and Edna Irwin Robinson. She was a 1939 graduate of West Liberty High School.

On November 14, 1942, she was married to Andrew J. Enderle in Kahoka, Missouri. Helen worked at Owens Brush in Iowa City and as an editor at NCS in Iowa City.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the West Liberty Country club and bowled for the Wuestenberg bowling team for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita (Tucker) Slade of Iowa City, Karen (George) Marple of Iowa City and Terry (Jim) Ozello of Iowa City; two sons, David (Sandra) Enderle of West Liberty and Steven (Dianne) Enderle of Apopka, Florida; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ferne Sullivan of West Liberty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, in 1970; her parents; and a sister, Gladys.
