West Liberty – Charlotte L. Walker, 72, died of a sudden heart attack on Friday, March 12, 1993, at West Liberty.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the West Liberty United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the West Liberty Chapel of the Barker Funeral Home where a memorial has been established.

Mrs. Walker was born June 17, 1921, at West Liberty, a daughter of Lloyd and Lenora Maley Smith. On Nov. 26, 1941, she was married at West Liberty to L. Wayne Walker. The couple farmed in Muscatine County for many years before moving to West Liberty.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church where earlier she was church secretary and taught in the Sunday school.

For a period of time she was employed at the West Liberty Library.

Survivors include one son, John Walker and one daughter Connie Ellis, both of West Liberty; two sisters, Virginia Crain of Lacey, Wash. and Neva Itzin of Urbana, Ill.; one brother, Adrian Smith of Seattle, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
