On last Saturday evening, March 11th, occurred the death of Mrs. Thos. J. Huffman, after an illness of a little over a week. Cynthia L. Bedee was born in Ohio October 6, 1842, and died at her home in Conesville on March 11th, 1911, having attained the age of 68 years , 5 months and 5 days. She was first married to Jas. Wilson and to this union two children were born who survive her. They are: George Wilson, of Wapello, and Nellie, the wife of Burrell Foor, of this place. Mr. Wilson died about thirty years ago and she was again united in marriage to Thos. J. Huffman at Wapello, la. To this union was born one child, Edna, the wife of Elbert C. Snyder, of this place. Mr. Huffman and family moved to this place from Wapello about fifteen years ago and during their stay, here Mrs. Huffman has; won the high esteem of all. Mrs. Huffman is survived by her grief stricken husband, one son, two daughters, one sister, Mrs. Israel Hill of this place and a number of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Six children preceded her in death. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Grace Reformed church, where the deceased had always been an active member. Rev. Kresge conducted the services and interment was made in the Conesville cemetery. The pallbearers were: S. D. Foster Wm. Baker, Risdon Tipton, John Gunderson, I. W. Jones and Allen McCurdy.
