LENA ZESIGER HAIN

Mrs. Lena Zesiger Hain, 65, passed away at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hershey hospital, following an extended illness. Mrs. Hain was taken to the hospital Jan. 17 and her husband, Arthur, died of a heart attack at home two hours after she left. Funeral services will be held, Friday, Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m. in Griffith Funeral Home, Rev. J.M. Newgard officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery.

Lena, the daughter of William and Ellen Lippencott, was born Aug. 4, 1885, at Cedar Bluffs, Ia. She was married to George Zesiger in 1900. He died in 1936. Sept. 5, 1943, she was married to Arthur Hain in Kahoka, Mo. She had lived in the Moscow vicinity for the last 40 years and was a member of the Grace Reformed church.

Survivors include: one son, Howard Zesiger of Davenport; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Birkhofer of Moscow; three brothers, James and Homer Lippencott of Brooklyn, Ia., and Robert Lippencott of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Caughey and Mrs. Myrtle Beyers, both of Grinnell; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

NOTE: Tombstone is dated 1884-1950
