Flora Miller
Flora "Peggy" Opal Miller, 81, a former resident of the Muscatine Towers Apartments, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 1990, at Muscatine General Hospital.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Roger Miller of the First Christian Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be J. William Mark, Fred Miller, Jeff Bright and Bryan Franklin.
Visitation is Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to service time. A memorial has been established.
Mrs. Miller was born Oct. 2, 1909, at Campbell, MO., a daughter of James and Emma Agnes Bray. She was a life resident of the area.
Her marriage to Frederick Charles Miller took place Aug. 8, 1929, in St. Louis, MO.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Miller, of Muscatine; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jewel Pace. of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, and one brother.
She had been employed in a butcher shop in Muscatine and was well-known for her cooking while operating the restaurant in the former Town & Country Bowling Alley.
