Muscatine, Iowa – Betty Jean Kline, 79, of 1246 E. Fifth St., died Thursday at her home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Edith Little will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kline was born March 11, 1922, in Muscatine, the daughter of Clifford and Eva Drury Collins. Her first marriage was to Robert G. Frye and her second marriage was to John “Doc” Kline.

She worked at Louis Rich; the HON Geneva Plant; she operated the Family Café and the Skynook Café; and worked at Muscatine Care Center.
She was a member of the Lady Eagles, the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas L. Frye of Muscatine, Michael John Kline and his wife, Peggy Lee, of Muscatine, and Scott W. Kline of Muscatine; one daughter, Jolly Ann Jackson and her husband, Dennis M., of Colona, Ill.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Burton Collins of Muscatine and David Collin of Osage Beach, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
