Carl I. Brown

Carl I. Brown, 74, who had lived at 304 Liberty street, Muscatine, died early this morning at St. James hospital, Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Funeral services are pending at the George M. Wittich funeral home, Muscatine. Friends may start calling Friday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be at Wapello.

Mr. Brown was born Aug. 24, 1888, in Louisa county, the son of Joseph and Flora Fuller Brown. He was married Dec. 11, 1908, at Wapello, to Ruby Kline.

Mr. Brown had lived in Muscatine until the death of his wife in September, then moved to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Townsend at Chicago Heights.

Surviving are three sons, Clarence J. Brown of Moline, Delmar C. Brown of Chicago and Ralph W. Brown of Stickney, Ill.; five daughters, Mrs. Earl Townsend of Chicago Heights, Mrs. William Nemeroff of Skokie, Mrs. Laurence Martin of Chicago Heights, Mrs. Raymond Anson of Muscatine, and Donna Brown of New York City; two stepbrothers, Orville Fuller of Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Phyliss Coulter of Aledo, Ill.; 26 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
