Succumbs After a Prolonged Illness
South End Resident Succumbs at Home of Daughter

J. C. Klein Succumbs a the Home of His Daughter,
Mrs. Winifred Tobias After Long Illness.

The death of J. C. Klein, occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Winifred Tobias, 118 Clinton street, Saturday evening. Mr. Klein had been ailing for the past three years, but was not confined to his bed until a few weeks ago. The cause of his death was dropsy.

Mr. Klein came to this city about four years ago from Wapello and with his family had resided in the South End continuously since that time. He is survived by his widow and nine children as follows: Mrs. Winifred Tobias, at whose home he succumbed, Mrs. Ruby Brown, Neva, Gladys, Neoma, Leo, Orville, Delvis, and Stewart Klein, all of this city. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. E. Miller of Wapello and Mrs. J. Brussow of New Boston, Ill.
