Mrs. Bertha Pike Of Nichols Is Called in Death
Nichols — Mrs. Bertha Agatha Hazen Pike, well known resident
of the community, died at her home at 1:20 a. m. today alter an
illness of one year.
Mrs. Pike was born Dec. 8, 1883, and was married to William Pike On Nov. 23, 1904. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Geraldine Heuvelman, a grandson, Bernard Heuvelman of Nichols, a. sister, Mrs. Nettie Holmes of Muscatine and three brothers,
Oliver Hazen of Muscatine, Cleve and Theodore Hazen of Nichols. One sister preceded her in death.
Funeral rites will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's church at Nichols with burial in St. Mary's cemetery there. The Kirchner Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
