MUSCATINE, Iowa — Thomas Lee Mills, 52, of Muscatine, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Visitation was 4-7 p.m. Monday at the George M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.

Funeral services were held at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, at the funeral home. Burial was in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Richard Mills Jr., John Mills, Paul Lighton, Joshua Lighton, Vaughn VandeMaat, Paul E. Holladay and Brad Snyder.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund was established at the funeral home in memory of Thomas.

Thomas Lee Mills was born Nov. 23, 1957, in Muscatine, the son of Richard and Velma (Harris) Mills.

He was a 1976 graduate of Muscatine High School and served in the U.S. National Guard in 1976.
He worked at Crossroads. He loved God and enjoyed music, dancing and movies, but most of all, Thomas dearly loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Velma Mills of Muscatine; siblings Richard Mills Jr. of Muscatine, Sue (and Vaughn) VandeMaat of Bloomer, Wis., Pamela (and Paul) Lighton of Aledo, Ill., John Mills and fiancé Lisa of Muscatine, Patricia (and Todd) Ricketts of Franklin, Tenn., Karen (and Paul) Holladay of Muscatine, and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father, Richard.
