MABEL SCHROEDER

Mabel Daisybelle Schroeder, 59, 1008 1st Ave., died this morning at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

The daughter of John and Daisybelle Jones Nelson, she was born Nov. 2, 1922, in Muscatine. She was a life-resident.

Her first marriage was to William "Bill" Walters. She later married George Emil Schroeder in 1952 in Rock Island, Ill., and he preceded her in death. She had previously been employed by Waltons Nursery.

Survivors include two sons, John Steven Walters of Davenport and Jeffrey Mark Schroeder of Muscatine; one daughter Mrs. Bonnie Mosley of Muscatine; three grandchildren; and one half-sister, Mrs. William (Juanita) Burkes (sic) of Blue Grass.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.
