MUSCATINE, Iowa - Harvey M. Ranberger, 82, of 300 Liberty St., died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Unity Hospital.

Service at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Ranberger was born on March 20, 1919, in Muscatine, the son of Jay and Margarite Armstrong Ranberger. He married Bernice Terry on Feb. 20, 1952, in Kahoka, Missouri.

He was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He worked at Grain Processing Corporation for 22 years as a security guard.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Ranberger of Muscatine; one son, Tommy James of Muscatine; one daughter, Connie Foor of Muscatine; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one daughter; one step-daughter; two brothers and two sisters.
