COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa -- Jeannette Masonholder, 80, of Columbus Junction, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

Services will be at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery.

Mrs. Masonholder was born on May 19, 1920, in Louisa County to James and Anna Barnes Helmick. She married Lawrence Herrick in Pensacola, Fla. He was killed in France on Aug. 5, 1944, while serving in the armed forces during World War II. She then married Paul Masonholder on June 1, 1948, in Columbus Junction.

She taught Home Economics at the Letts High School.

She was a member of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, a 50 year member of the PEO Chapter CX, a 50 year member of TTT Chapter R, and the Half Hour Club.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; three children, Larry Herrick and his wife, Bernadette, of Redmond, Wash., Richard Herrick and his wife, Merry, of Muscatine and Mary Wilson and her husband, Dan, of Columbus Junction; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Helmick; her first husband, Lawrence Herrick; her brother, James B. Helmick; and a granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth Wilson.
