WEST LIBERTY, Iowa -- Gladys M. Bach, 92, formerly of Cedar Rapids died Friday, May 30, 2003, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty following a short illness.

Services are at the Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1910, near West Liberty, the daughter of Glen and Alma Pinney Walker. She married John D. Bach in Cedar Rapids.

She was a graduate of West Liberty High School in 1929 and attended Cedar Rapids Business College.

The couple had lived in Cedar Rapids for many years, following the death of her husband in 1993 she moved to West Liberty.

She had been employed with Prudential Insurance in Cedar Rapids for 30 years retiring in 1972.

She was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one step daughter, Rosalie Bishop and her husband, Bill, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Kenneth Walker of West Liberty and Glen G. Walker of Honolulu; three sisters, Lois Kirby, Phyllis Beach and Audrey VeDepo all of West Liberty; two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and four brothers Jim, Lyle, Lloyd and Wayne.
