BOONEVILLE, Mo. - Mr. David Van Gent, 60, of Boonville, Mo. died Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo.

Services will be at the Thacher Funeral Home in Boonville. The Rev. Randy Richards will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

He was born March 26, 1939, in Mahaska County, the son of Arthur and Amey Reinier Van Gent. He married Lynda Oswandel in Oskaloosa on Dec. 27, 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda Van Gent of Boonville; a daughter, Sherri Beard of Moberly, Mo.; a son, David D. Van Gent of Boonville; and three grandchildren. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a salesman at RB Ford in Boonville.
