BLUE GRASS - Reinhardt H. Lage, 86, of Blue Grass, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Genesis Medical Center West in Davenport. Services will be at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church in Blue Grass. The Rev. Charles Mills will officiate. Organist will be Charyn Mills and vocalist will be Henry Bentley. Pallbearers will be Gerald Lage, Kenneth Lage, Dale Havill, Dean Havill, Bob Goettsch, Larry Goettsch, John Moeller, and Paul Moeller. Burial will be at Durant Cemetery in Durant. Visitation will be at Bentley Funeral Homes in Durant and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church and to the Walcott Senior Citizens. Mr. Lage was born on Jan. 15, 1913, to Julius and Anna Buck Lage in Cedar County. He married Gladys B. Moeller on Feb. 5, 1938, in Davenport. He farmed in Cedar and Scott Counties and retired in 1980. He was a member of the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church, the Quad City Times Plus 60 Club, Walcott Senior Citizens, and the golden Wedding Club. He enjoyed his grandchildren and playing cards. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Lage of Blue Grass; a daughter Diane Motz and her husband, Ken, of Bettendorf; a son Dallas Lage of Frederick, Colo.; two sisters Evelyn Arp and her husband, Elmer, of New Braunfels, Texas, Martha Westphal of Minneapolis, Minn.; a brother, Harry Lage and his wife, Margaret, of New Braunfels, Texas; two grandchildren, Troy Motz of Moline, Ill. and Erika Wagner of Bethlehem, Pa.; and three great-grandchildren, Cody Motz, Emily Motz and Jacob Wagner. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arnold Lage; and three sisters, Hilda Klahn, Edna Baker and Elsie Mordhorst.
