MUSCATINE - Lorence J. Hinrichs, 94, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at his home. Services will be at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 417 Green Street. The Rev. Bernard Weir will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joseph, Charles, Vince and Michael Gaeta, and John and DeWayne Pahl. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Nichols. Visitation will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home with a Rosary Prayer Service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church. Mr. Hinrichs was born on Dec. 13, 1904, in Muscatine County, the son of John Mathias and Mary Dorothy Tillman Hinrichs. He married Clara M. Stalkfleet on Aug. 26, 1947, in Muscatine. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church. He worked for CR Richards Packing Company for over 19 years and later worked for Wiedemann Industry. Survivors include three daughters, Maurine Hahn and her husband, Frank, of Moscow, Sharon Borchert of Muscatine, and Sandra Dipple and her husband, Larry, of Muscatine; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren and a special niece, Betty Gaeta, of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara, in 1998; a great-grandson; a great-granddaughter; and four sisters.
