MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Viola M. Albin, 90, of Muscatine died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Lutheran Homes following an extended illness.

Graveside services are at the West Branch Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Patrick will officiate. The Barker Funeral Home in West Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Albin was born on Sept. 19, 1911, in Springdale, the daughter of Alfred and Lillian Morgan. She married Maxwell Albin on Sept. 19, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1981.

Her husband was employed with Williams Pipeline and the couple lived in Falls City, Neb. and Des Moines. They later moved to Iowa City where they managed the Seville Apartments. She spent a few years living with her son in Las Vegas, Nev. and following his death moved to Muscatine.

Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Pierce of Rochester and Sylvia McQuillen of Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ron; a brother, James; and sisters, Ruby, Ruth, Elsie, Orpha, Dorothy and Inez.
