MUSCATINE - Anthony Jon Novy, 7, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Muscatine, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, in Pittsboro, Ind., as a result of an automobile accident. Services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission Church will officiate. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Community Room at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home following the committal services. Visitation will be held at the funeral home. Anthony was born on Jan. 9, 1992, in Iowa City, the son of Howard Peniston Jr. and Monika Novy. He was attending the first grade in Cincinnati. He was very active and especially enjoyed playing basketball. Survivors include his grandmother, Barbara Pulido of Muscatine; his grandfather, Howard Peniston Sr. of Muscatine; his father, Howard Peniston Jr., his mother and father Monika Novy and Anthony Dodds of Cinncinati; three brothers, Andre, Anthony Jr., Tamon; a sister, Kaderia; an uncle, Tio Manuel. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kiara.
