ALEDO, Ill. - Freda L. Davison, 88, of Aledo, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at the Mercer County Hospital in Aledo. Services will be at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. The Rev. Claude Moreland will officiate. Burial will be at the Periel Cemetery in rural Joy, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Hospital Intensive Care Unit. Mrs. Davison was born Oct. 31, 1911, in Eliza Township Mercer County, Ill., the daughter of Louis and Floy French Beverlin. She married David I. John Davison on Feb. 5, 1932, in Monmouth, Ill. He died in 1988. She and her husband farmed in the Joy area until retiring and moving to Aledo in 1971. She enjoyed quilting. Survivors include a son Darrell Davison of Aledo; a daughter, Juanita Edgcomb of Utica, Ill.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Bridgford and a brother, Keith Beverlin, both of Aledo and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Jessie Dodson, Jennie Beverlin and Mildred Davison.
