AINSWORTH - Leonard Burdette Davis, 80, of Ainsworth died on Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at the United Presbyterian Home, Washington. Services will be at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Visitation will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. Mr. Davis was born March 9, 1919, in Cotter, the son of John Morris and Anna Griffith Davis. He married Anita Stange on Feb. 21, 1952, in Muscatine. He was a farmer most of his life. He also worked for the Washington County Conservation Department. He was a World War II Army Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater. He enjoyed all types of sports. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert Davis and his wife, Lori, Columbus Junction, and Randall Davis and his wife, Cynthia, Colleyville, Texas; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Ashley Davis, Columbus Junction; and a sister, Dorothy Plett, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Hayden Davis, and a sister-in-law Arlene Davis.
