MRS. SLAVIN DIES AT ZOLLER HOME
Lived in Muscatine for More Than 50 Years
Succumbs After Three Weeks' Illness - Funeral at Daughter's Home Sunday Afternoon

Mrs. Mary Slavin, 78, a resident of Muscatine for more than 50 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.C. Zoller, 609 Sycamore street, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Death was due to complications resulting from old age after a three weeks' illness.

Mrs. Slavin was born in Louisa county, Feb. 14, 1847, and came to Muscatine when but a young girl. In 1868 she married Edward Slavin and they made their home in Muscatine, he preceding her in death nine years. She was a member of the Banner lodge and of Trinity Episcopal church. Mrs. Slavin is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George H. See of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. E.N. Van Duffer of Rome, NY.; Mrs. R. C. Zoller of Muscatine; two sons, Ed Slavin and Harry Slavin of Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Hester Clark of Muscatine.

Funeral Services will be from the home Sunday afternoon at 3:30 with the Rev. Webster Hakes of Trinity Episcopal Church in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
