FRANK LAIR, 67, OF WEST LIBERTY, TAKEN BY DEATH

West Liberty - Frank Lair, 67, a retired farmer, died at 11:35 pm Tuesday at his home at 206 South Columbus street after a three year illness.

He was born May 5, 1878 at Princeville, Ill., being a son of Lawrence and Margaret Lair. He married Retta Gladfelter of Princeville March 4, 1901. The couple came to Iowa in 1907 and lived on a farm in this community. They resided on several places in this locality before moving to West Liberty 26 years ago.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Mr. Lair is survived by his widow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Thursday at the S.C. Snider Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester Beh of the Methodist church. Burial will be at Oakridge cemetery.
