TIPTON, Iowa -- Jody Ann Achey, 30, 1483 Snaggy Ridge Road, Tipton, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at her home from complications of breast cancer.

According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no formal services. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be sent directly to John and Karen Achey, 1483 Snaggy Ridge Road, Tipton, IA 52772.

Miss Achey was born Feb. 18, 1974, in Davenport, the daughter of John Edward and Kay Anderson Achey.

She graduated from Tipton High School in 1993 and earned an associate of arts degree from Kirkwood College.

She was employed as a clerical office worker.

Survivors include her parents, John E. and Karen K. Achey of Tipton; a sister, Elizabeth K. Waltz and husband, Rick, of Tipton; two nieces, Madeline and Mackenzie Waltz of Tipton; her grandfather, Ronald Anderson of Tipton; aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Denny Carney of Tipton, Linda and Mike Spurgeon of Decorah, Ray Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Jackie Meeker of Lander Wyo., Sharon and Gerald Osborn and Ralph Wilke, all of Tipton.

She was preceded in death by an aunt, Luva Jean Wilke; grandparents, Dorothy Anderson and John and Genevieve Achey; and two cousins.
