MUSCATINE, Iowa - Annabelle Truitt, 73, Muscatine, died Friday, March 8,2002, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.

Funeral services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Swanson and the Rev. Ken Cooley will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery and memorials have been established in her memory.

She was born March 29, 1928, in Drury Township, Ill., the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Marple Ackman. On Jan. 20, 1945, she married Elmer ''Bud'' Truitt in Muscatine. She had attended Walnut Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, needlework, camping and blue grass music.

Survivors include her husband, ''Bud''; three sons, Steven Truitt and his wife,Terri, Larry Truitt and his wife Lisa and Timothy Truitt, all of Muscatine;six grandchildren, Steven Truitt, Jr., Tristan Gries, Miranda Truitt, Alex Gries, Quinten Truitt and Roman Truitt; one brother, Ernie Mahaffy of Monmouth, Ill., and one sister, Eileen Peterson, also of Monmouth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister, Emma Lou Potter.
