HELEN STEWART

Helen Gladys Stewart, 79, a former resident of 1416 Lincoln Blvd., died Saturday morning at the Hershey Convalescent Home.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Drury-Reynolds Cemetery.

Helen Stewart was born Nov. 13, 1899, in Henderson, Township, Knox County, Ill., the daughter of Eli F. and Angeline Essex Baer. She had lived in Muscatine for the past seven years.

Her marriage to John Stewart took place Jan. 1, 1944 in Drury Township, Ill. She attended Lincoln Blvd. Baptist Church and was a member of the Providence Baptist Church. She taught school for 28 years in the counties of Knox, Rock Island, and Mercer.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Irwin (Roberta) Cunningham of Muscatine, seven grandchildren, and one brother, Philip W. Baer of Detroit, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970, and two sisters.
