GUS THUMAN
Gus Thuman, 77, 612 E. 5th St., died at 3:30 a.m. today at Muscatine General hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fairbanks-Lamb Chapel.
Burial will be in Memorial park.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Thuman was b o r n March 23, 1895 in Germany.
He married Helen Keller, May 25, 1946 at Iowa City. He
was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Henry Thuman, Davenport,
seven grandchildren and 13 great g r a n d c h i l d r e n .
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services for Gus Thuman, 77, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the
Fairbanks-Lainb Chapel. Rev. William H. Gluck officiated and Mrs/1. H. Petersen
was the organist. Pallbearers w e r e Rollie Schenkle, Art Quasi, Joab
Moore,; Clifford Trader, Al Brenner and Paul Chapman.
Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mr. Thuman died Saturday at Muscatine General hospital.
Survivors omitted from the
original obituary include two
step-daughters, Mrs. Marie Pulliam and Mrs.
Nelson (Louise) Plowman;
and a s t e p -s o n, Donald Smith, Columbia, Ga.
