L. A. SCHNACK
Funeral services for L. A. (Lefty) Schnack 59, will be Monday at Wesley United Methodist church.
Mr. Schnack, 1313 Oakland died Friday morning at Heinz Field following an apparent
heart attack. He had been a resident of Museatine for 35 years and was Muscatine
High school athletic director.

At one time or another he had coached virtually every sport offered at Muscatine High.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home where friends may call Sunday.
The body will be taken to Wesley United Methodist church at Monday for the 3 p.m. services to be
conducted by Dr. J. Henry Teele.

Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Schnack was born May 21, 1911, at Bennett, la. He
was married Aug. 14, 1937, at Crown Point, Ind., to Leota Patricia Bailey.
He was a member of the Elks lodge, past president of the Muscatine club, and a
member of the Iowa State Education Association.

He is survived by the widow Mrs. Pat Schnack: a daughter, Miss Sue Schnack of Kansas
City, Mo., a brother, Raymond Schnack of Tipton; and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Rickelman,
Jolet, IL., and Mrs. Arlene Van Skike, LaGrange, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
