ROSS E. NELSON
BURLINGTON - Ross E. Nelson, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nelson, 922
S. Eighth St., Burlington, died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday while practicing track at Horace
Mann Junior High School in Burlington.
An autopsy was performed to determine the cause of death.
Funeral services will he held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Grace United Methodist
Church in Burlington with Rev. Henry Hackman officiating.
Burial will be in Burlington. Visitation will be held at Giles Funeral Chapel in Burlington
He was born at Muscatine Feb. 4, 1958 a son of Robert M. and Norma Brown Nelson, he had
resided here eight years before moving to Burlington.
Ross was of the Methodist faith and attended Horace Mann Junior High School.
Survivors include his parents,
Mr.and Mrs. Robert Brown Nelson; four brothers all at home. Douglas. David, Dennis
and Joel: grandparents, Mrs. Glen Lucas of Keokuk, Mrs. Roberta Mahon of Birmingham,
Iowa, and Merle Nelson of Keosauqua.
