PLAINFIELD, Ill. - Doris E. Burkamper, 68, of Plainfield, formerly of Muscatine, and Fulton, Ill., died May 10, 2008, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, Ill.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home chapel, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. Interment will be at Plainfield Township Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 31, 1939, in Muscatine. Doris was a 1957 graduate of Muscatine High School.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 50 years, William "Bill" Burkamper; her sons, Kevin Lee Burkamper and wife, Melinda, of Plainfield and Randall WayneBurkamper and wife, LuAnn,of Lisle, Ill.; her grandchildren, Allyson Renae, Emily Nicole, Jacob Allen, David Michael and Jared Ryan; her brother, Harlan Leo McKillip and sister, Carol Reed and husband, Dallas, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Harlan and Dorathea McKillip.
