COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Donald C. Noble, 69, of Columbus Junction, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at the Morning Sun Care Center.

Following Donald's wishes there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association in Donald's name. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery.

Mr. Noble was born February 3, 1939, in Louisa County, the son of Donald Robert and Mildred Margaret Perkins Noble. He married Waunita L. Wiese on November 3, 1957, at the First Methodist Church in Muscatine. She preceded him in death in 2005.

He was a 1957 graduate of Wapello High School.

He had worked as an electrician for the Farm Service of Columbus City for more than 33 years.

He played guitar and drums in area dance bands for many years.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of AARP and a longtime member of the Iowa Farm Bureau.

He will be dearly missed by his sons; Michael Noble and wife, Debra, of Iowa City, Mark Noble of Panhandle, Texas and Douglas Noble and wife, Veronica, of Columbus Junction; five grandchildren, David Noble, Danielle Noble, Shanae Noble, Britton Noble and Ruby Noble.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, and his brother, Fred Noble.
