ANTON SCHREMPF

Anton Schrempf, 70, 415 Evans street, died this morning at the Bellevue Hospital at 6:22. Mr. Schrempf had been ill for three weeks, but his conditon was not thought serious until a week ago, when he was removed to the hospital. Complications were given as the cause of his death.

Mr. Schrempf was born in Germany, March 27, 1854 and came to Muscatine 41 years ago. He married Genevieve Erhart in Pennsylvania in 1882. Nine children were born to them, eight of whom survive. Mr. Schrempf was a member of the St. Joseph society and of St. Mary's church. He is survived, besides his wife, by five sons, Charles, Albert, and William of Muscatine, and Jacob and John of Moline, Ill; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Angerer and Mrs. Ed Kelly of Muscatine, and Sister Mary Ermalinda of the Holy Rosary convent at Bozeman, Mont.; one brother, John of Muscatine; and one sister in Germany.

Funeral arrangements have not as yet been made, pending word from out of town relatives.
