WILLIAM C. HERMANN

William C. Hermann, 70, of Pleasant Prairie, died at 9 am Monday, following a sudden heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Egly of Chariton, Ia.

Mr. Hermann was born Oct. 24, 1891, in Muscatine and was a life resident of this vicinity. He was the son of George H. and Marie Weber Hermann.

Mr. Hermann was owner of a lumber and feed business at Pleasant for 40 years. He was an elder of the Pleasant Prairie Presbyterian Church, and member of the Masonic lodge and El Bey Grotto.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Anna Mae Hermann of Pleasant Prairie; one son, Dr. Loren Hermann of Russell, Ia; one daughter, Mrs. James(Ruth) Egly of Chariton; five brothers, Fred W. Hermann, Charles F. Hermann and George H. Hermann, all of Muscatine, Dr. Alford H. Hermann and Dr. Weber C. Hermann, both of Milwaukee, Wis; two sisters, Mrs. Clara H. Klaffenbach and Miss Edna Hermann, both of Milwaukee, Wis; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The body is now at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday. Rev. Henry Marks will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
