Mrs. Susan Krueger

Mrs. Susan Krueger, 79, died at her home, 1233 East Fourth street, at 1:15 Monday afternoon following an illness of 22 weeks with advanced age and resulting complications.

Mrs. Krueger was born near New Boston, Ill. Sept 6, 1849. She had spent the past 16 years in Muscatine. She was married to Frederick Krueger on Feb. 1, 1871, who died on April 12, 1921. She was a member of the German Methodist Episcopal church.

Mrs. Krueger was the mother of 17 children, five of whom preceded her in death. Survivng are the following children: Mrs. Mary Wagner and Fred Krueger, both of Joy, Ill.; William Krueger, Mrs. Henry Pomeroy, Mrs Henry Boldt, and Mrs. Dwayne McKinney, all of Muscatine; Mrs. Henry Sutton of Nichols; Mrs. Henry Schlopkohl, Frank, John and Charles Krueger and Mrs. Ferdinand Hank, all of Lone Tree; thirty grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the home and at 2 o'clock at the German Methodist church by the Rev. Otto Frey. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The Wittich Funeral Home is in charge.
