LOUIS W. KING DIES SUDDENLY

Found Dead in Yard at 1109 Oregon Street - Funeral to Be Thursday

Louis W. King, 66, for the past 45 years a resident of Muscatine, died suddenly at his home, 1109 Oregon street, about 7 o'clock Monday night with a heart attack.

Although Mr. King had been in poor health for the past two years with rheumatism and heart disease, he had worked as usual Monday at the McKee button factory. Early Monday evening he went to the rear of his home to clean up some brush which he burned. About 7 o'clock his body was found lying near the fire in the yard. Death had been almost instantaneous.

Louis William King was born in Louisa County near Grandview, Nov. 4, 1862. He came to Muscatine 45 years ago and had made his home here since. He married Miss Molly Busch in Muscatine, July 3, 1888. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. Lodge.

Surviving are his widow; six children, Archie, Edmund, Clifford and Chester King, Mrs. Willis Rauschenberger, all of Muscatine, and Mrs Earl Parady of Omaha; one sister, Mrs. Mary Schriner of Muscatine; eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. Victor Bloomquist, pastor of the Musserville Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted. The Wittich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
