J. H. REYNOLDS, LIFELONG LOCAL RESIDENT, DIES

James H. Reynolds, 81, who had spent his entire life in Muscatine, died at his home, 1253 Hlastead street, at 8 pm Friday.

The son of William and Mary Keagy Reynolds, he was born in Muscatine on Feb. 16, 1859 and married Nellie Lohr here on June 26, 1888. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Evertt (Nola) Rorick of Wilton, Mrs. Charles F. (Hazel) Hermann of Pleasant Prairie and Mrs. Milford B. (Beulah) Guthrie of Iowa City; a brother, Albert C. Reynolds of Muscatine; a sister, Miss Ida Reynolds of Tipton, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. His parents and one brother, Charles, preceded him in death.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home and rites will be held there at 1:30 pm Monday. The Rev. Vance H. Webster of the First Baptist Church will be in charge.

REYNOLDS RITES ARE OBSERVED HERE

The funeral rites for James. H. Reynolds, 1253 Halstead street, were conducted at 1:30 pm today at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home with the Rev. Vance Webster of the First Baptist Church in charge. Charles Shook presided at the organ.

Flower attendants were Mrs. Elmer Johnson and Mrs. A.P. Thomas. Pallbearers were Elmer E. Johnson, Edward W. Vetter, Edward A. Betzold, A.P. Thomas, August C. Altenbernd and Fred W. Hermann. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
