CHARLES F. HERMANN

Charles Hermann, 79, retired Muscatine merchant, died suddenly at his home on Rt. 3 at 10 am Wednesday. Death was attributed at a heart attack.

Mr. Hermann was a life resident of the community. He was born here Sept. 12, 1887, the son of George H. Hermann and Regina Marie Weber Hermann.

He was married Nov. 27, 1913, in Muscatine to Hazel Reynolds.

Mr. Hermann was a member of Ziegler Lutheran Memorial Church. He was a 50-year Mason and Past Master of Iowa Lodge No. 2. He was a member of Kaaba Temple, Shrine Consistory, and Wilton Lodge No. 67.

Surviving are one son, Glenn C. (Dorothy) Hermann, Rot. 3; two daughters, Mrs. Buster (Myldred) Simpon of Temple, Texas, and Mrs. Roger (Doris) Boulet, Rt. 3; three brothers, George H. Hermann, Muscatine, Dr. Alford H. Hermann and Dr. Weber C. Hermann of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Klaffenbach and Miss Edna Hermann, both of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home, where friends may call starting Friday.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Interment willbe at Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral services for Charles Hermann, 79, were held at 1:30 pm today at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home.

Rev. E.B. Meyer officiated. Mrs. Floyd Scott was the organist.

Pallbearers were Harold Hanson, W.G. Eichenauer, Clarence Fulton, Arnold Petersen, George Henke and William Mull, Sr.

Interment was at Greenwood cemetery.

Mr. Hermann died Wednesday morning at his home on Rt. 3.
