MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Larry Cook, 57, Muscatine, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Unity Hospital.

Services are at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, 2907 Mulberry Ave. The Rev. Prince Swamickan will officiate. Casket bearers are Randall Tuttle, Ron Gibbs, M.C. Fuller, Butch Lange, Jack Wilson and Keith Sutter. Honorary casket bearers are Jeff Webb, Joel Hocke, Greg Wilson and Tim Fuller. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Island United Methodist Church. Memorials may be directed to Island United Methodist Church.

He was born Aug. 15, 1946, in Monmouth, Ill., the son of George N. and Mary Lee Gregg Cook. He married Elaine Louise Bergquist Feb. 4, 1967, in Burlington.

He graduated in 1964 from Fort Madison High School.

He farmed all of his life. He enjoyed camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife. Elaine Cook of Muscatine; a son, Randy Cook and fiance Brenda, of Muscatine; a daughter, Rhonda Estabrook and husband, Rob; a brother, Bob Cook and wife, Alta, of Wapello; three granddaughters, Kayleigh, Danielle and Samantha Cook; a grandson, Austin Cook; five step-grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Kody, Ashli and Nathan Bass; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Sanford and Pam Bergquist of Burlington, Elmer Dean and Oneita Bergquist of Galesburg, Ill., and Ron and Dee Dee Dabney of Twin Falls, Idaho; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; a daughter-in-law, Kim Cook; and his parents-in-law.
